The Year in Review at Webz

What a year we’ve had at Webz! With your ongoing feedback we’ve been able to develop offerings that better serve you. As we stop to catch our breath before the year ends, we wanted to review how much was achieved in such a short time. And we thought the best way to do that would be with a visualization of Webz.io achievements in 2018.

As you can see from our infographic, in 2018 we developed and launched an entirely new product, the Dark Web API, with an additional 6 new cyber networks and new entities — all through a single endpoint. We also added 10 additional years of historical data to our Archived Web Data in addition to adding tens of thousands of sites to our News and Blog APIs. And we improved our Firehose offering by allowing you to now save data from the last 12 days instead of only the last 3.

We’re also proud to announce that in 2018 we delivered more data to our customers than ever before —  a total of 7.3 million posts compared with 6.5 million posts scanned per day in 2017. Along with providing more data to customers, though, we were also able to deliver it to you faster than ever, by decreasing Webz.io’s API response time to 0.02 seconds! This is a huge achievement we are thrilled to be able to offer our 60,000 satisfied customers.

We can’t wait to see what additional changes 2019 will bring! As we look towards the New Year, we will continue to develop new and better offerings for you, our customers. We’re excited to hit the ground running and look forward to achieving even more.
